Quality materials sized and pitched correctly for each property
A family business built on honest pricing, written estimates, and gutter work that lasts.
For more than 25 years, The Gutterman has installed, repaired, and maintained gutters for homeowners and businesses across Fort Wayne and Allen County.
The Gutterman started in 1996 as a small, family-run operation serving Fort Wayne homeowners who wanted a gutter contractor they could actually reach on the phone. What began with one ladder and one truck has grown into a full-service gutter company, but the family ownership never changed hands.
Today, Frank Merriman and Matthew Merriman lead a team that still treats every property like it belongs to a neighbor, because in Allen County, it usually does. We have watched Fort Wayne grow from the old West Central neighborhoods to the newer developments stretching toward New Haven and Huntertown, and our gutter services have grown right along with it.
That kind of longevity means something in this trade. It means we have seen how Allen County winters, spring downpours, and autumn leaf drop wear on a gutter system, and we have built our residential gutter services and commercial gutter services around that firsthand experience.
Our mission is simple: install gutter systems that work as hard as the families and businesses that depend on them, and stand behind every job with honest communication. We do not believe in vague verbal promises or gutter repair estimates that change after the truck shows up.
Every project, whether it is a full seamless gutter installation or a single downspout repair, is guided by the same principles:
Homeowners and property managers across Fort Wayne have plenty of gutter companies to choose from. Here is what keeps them calling The Gutterman for gutter installation, gutter repair, and commercial gutter cleaning year after year.
The Gutterman is not a franchise passing through Fort Wayne. We live and work here, and our maintenance plans, seasonal gutter cleaning routes, and repair calls run through the same neighborhoods we grew up in, from Grabill to Leo-Cedarville to Monroeville.
That familiarity matters for understanding Indiana weather. We know how quickly a heavy spring storm can overwhelm an undersized downspout, and how oak and maple leaf drop clogs a system by late October if it is not protected.
Because we have serviced homes and commercial properties across Allen County for so long, we can often spot a sagging gutter, a failing fascia board, or a soffit repair need before it turns into water damage. That kind of attention comes from being part of the community, not just a company that services it.
Whether you need seamless gutter installation, leaf guard installation, soffit and fascia repair, or a maintenance plan that keeps your gutters clear all year, our family is ready to talk through the details and put it in writing.
